  • Pride and Positivity after Inspection at The Bolsover School

    Proud staff and pupils at The Bolsover School are pleased to share the overwhelmingly positive outcome of a recent Ofsted inspection which saw a school that ‘lives its key values and aims for ‘nothing but the best’ for all pupils’.

    The inspection, in November 2025, was one of the first in the country to be completed under a new Ofsted framework. Overall inspection grades are no longer given. But the team noted secure educational provision at The Bolsover School and issued a report which details how the school is meeting the ‘expected standard’ across 6 main inspection areas.

  • The Bolsover School Celebrates Strong GCSE Results and Student Success

    The Bolsover School is proud to announce a year of strong GCSE results, reflecting the dedication, resilience, and hard work of its students and staff. This year, the school achieved an Attainment 8 score of 45, with 72% of students achieving Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Basics 4+), and 42.7% achieving Grade 5 or above (Basics 5+).

  • Redhill Trust Indoor Rowing Spectacular

    Earlier this term a group of our students competed in the first ever Redhill Academy Trust Indoor Rowing Championships!

    Rowers from each of Redhill Trust’s 10 secondary academies gathered at Tupton Hall School, where 200 students competed in timed races across year groups 7 – 11. Races varied from two minutes for Year 7s up to six minutes for Year 11s.

  • Bolsover celebrates World Book Day!

    This year, staff at The Bolsover School celebrated World Book Day by dressing up, giving out free books, and taking part in title quest and scavenger hunt competitions. 

    Houses demonstrated a significant competitive streak and great knowledge as they deciphered distorted book covers, named authors and remembered Redhill Academy Trust Book Award shortlisted titles since 2019. We also once again launched our Read for Good sponsored Readathon where students raise money for books for sick children in hospital.
