Curriculum Plus is our broad and vibrant co-curricular programme, enriching the school experience for young people across all Redhill Trust academies. The programme of activities for 2025-26 has now been published!
The Bolsover School is proud to announce a year of strong GCSE results, reflecting the dedication, resilience, and hard work of its students and staff. This year, the school achieved an Attainment 8 score of 45, with 72% of students achieving Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Basics 4+), and 42.7% achieving Grade 5 or above (Basics 5+).
Earlier this term a group of our students competed in the first ever Redhill Academy Trust Indoor Rowing Championships!
Rowers from each of Redhill Trust’s 10 secondary academies gathered at Tupton Hall School, where 200 students competed in timed races across year groups 7 – 11. Races varied from two minutes for Year 7s up to six minutes for Year 11s.

There have been scenes of elation at The Bolsover School today as students opened their GCSE results for the 2024 examination series. Year upon year our students show the utmost resilience and determination to produce fantastic results that put them in very good stead for their further education and potential career.
This year, staff at The Bolsover School celebrated World Book Day by dressing up, giving out free books, and taking part in title quest and scavenger hunt competitions.
Houses demonstrated a significant competitive streak and great knowledge as they deciphered distorted book covers, named authors and remembered Redhill Academy Trust Book Award shortlisted titles since 2019. We also once again launched our Read for Good sponsored Readathon where students raise money for books for sick children in hospital.
Earlier this year, students and staff at The Bolsover School were honoured to present 'revolting' yet wonderful performers - showcasing Matilda The Musical JR.
Students and staff at The Bolsover School were honoured to welcome a very special guest on Friday morning – UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The atmosphere at The Bolsover School has been sublime today as students and their families have flooded to the sports hall to end months of suspense by finally opening their GCSE results. This year’s cohort has overcome so much to be here today, with years of disruption throughout the pandemic and further curriculum changes, but they’ve made it and achieved excellence nonetheless.
Plans for a sixth form centre linked to The Bolsover School have been given the green light after a concerted campaign to return post-16 education to the area.
