GCSE Results Day 2020
Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students!
It has been a year like never before for Year 11 students at The Bolsover School, their school careers prematurely brought to an end by a global pandemic that has brought the entire world to a halt.
Since March our students have had to face a rollercoaster journey into the unknown, with several different messages being provided in relation to how their GCSE grades were going to be calculated.
At the 11th hour it was confirmed that the highest grade from the Centre Assessed Grade (teacher predicted) or the OFQUAL produced standardised grade would count for our Y11 students.
Today has allowed our students to return to school to collect their results, albeit in a more controlled manner. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces and we hope that they are all pleased with the grades they have received. As a school we are extremely proud of the class of 2020 and the way they have conducted themselves throughout their time at The Bolsover School. We truly wish each and every one of them all the very best for the future and hope that they all continue on their pathway to achieving their potential wherever their next steps take them. We forever hope that they will always continue to strive to be ‘Nothing but the Best’.
All the very best for the future,
Staff and Governors at The Bolsover School
