Admission Appeals

Parents/Carers have the right to appeal if an application is refused. Appeals must be submitted within 20 school days of receipt of the decision letter.

Year 7 Intake September 2021 

We are currently oversubscribed for September 2021.  Late applications should be made by contacting Derbyshire County Council Admissions Team.

How to lodge an appeal

Please send a written request for an appeal to Mrs Whittaker, The Bolsover School, Mooracre Lane, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S44 6XA or email  The deadline for appeals is 29 March 2021

Appeals received after this deadline will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals, where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged with the school.

The appeal hearing

For applications made as part of the normal admissions round, Stage 1 & Stage 2 will be held on the same day.
